Akhanda Yoga

Our traditional 200hr Yoga Teacher Training offers a nurturing environment in which to delve further into yoga. Included in the course are self-creating transformational experiences, coupled with a clear and concise knowledge of Hatha yoga. This holistic Yoga Teacher Training results in the progression from Yoga Practitioner to high quality Teacher.

Our teachers have studied under great masters such as Sri K. Pattabhi Jois, Yogi Vishvketu and many others around the world. Following the teachings of Yogi Vishvketu and Chetana Panwar, Akhanda Yoga Australia is an affiliate school offering an authentic Akhanda yoga teacher training on the Gold Coast of Australia.

Asana, pranayama and kriya techniques will be taught, practised and trainees will then practice teaching them to their peers. There will be time to develop one’s own asanas, learn about benefits, checkpoints and contraindications, as well as to teach and assist peers during group teaching sessions. Group teaching means that we form a circle and each participant demonstrates and teaches one asana while others either perform the technique or assist their peers.

Teacher Training

Holistic Akhanda Yoga YTT courses are professional certificate programs registered with the Yoga Alliance at the 200 and 300-hour levels. Yogrishi Vishvketu E-RYT also offers Akhanda Yoga retreats and workshops and teaches at various yoga and ayurveda conferences internationally.

ASHRAM ACTIVITIES

very year the ashram offers scholarships to students with Indian Resident status who are in need of financial assistance, and wish to continue their yoga education. Some of these scholarships are given for Akhanda Yoga® Teacher Training, and some are given for study at Gurukul Kangri University for study in the Yoga Department.
